The Village Hall is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and reliable person to take on the role of Village Hall Co-ordinator to assist us with the smooth running of the Hall.  This is an interesting and flexible role with a varying workload, and provides an opportunity to help manage, look after and develop a valuable community asset.  The Co-ordinator is an essential part of the Hall Team and is supported by the Trustees/Management Committee.

The Village Hall hosts a wide variety of groups and events, from regular users who visit the Hall weekly, to one-off hirers who hold parties and other events at the Hall.  The Village Hall Co-ordinator is a key individual in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the Hall.  The role offers a great deal of flexibility in managing your time, and would suit a motivated and organised person used to working on their own initiative.  You will work closely with the Management Committee, and report to them regularly – there will be a need for an occasional evening meeting.

Duties are very varied and include overseeing the day to day running of the village hall and being the first point of contact for all maters arising with the hall – including overseeing the website and social media account.  You will maintain the NVHL accounting records, along with making and receiving payments/invoices, so knowledge of Excel and Word packages are a must.

Other duties include general administration support, running monthly checks on several pieces of equipment, arranging utilities services on an annual basis and sourcing items as and when is required.

We are seeking a team player who is experienced in dealing with the public in person, by phone or in writing.  A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is considered essential.

The job is home based but will require site visits to the hall – someone local to the hall would be ideal.

The job is offered is a part-time position (up to 10 hours per week).  Additional hours may be available on an occasional basis.  The pay rate will be £10 per hour and the position is available immediately.
