Nutfield Tree Wardens have received the trees for planting, and we will plant the trees this coming weekend 6th to 7th March – we are all very excited!

We have received guidance that this exercise can take place but there are quite a few restrictions. Only one adult will be permitted to carry out the planting and each will have a time slot to complete the allocation of trees, and no children will be allowed.

So far 30 volunteers have come forward which is sufficient to plant the trees we have and the rota has been pulled together. Communication is going out at the moment to let the amazing people know the plan.  However, there were more volunteers than spaces (due to tight numbers), but if you put your name forward you still will be needed for future work  and projects on the wood and will receive an email giving you the details.

To supplement the appearance of the area, we have received a Grant from Surrey County Council to place bespoke benches in the newly planted area. It is hoped that all users of the fields will enjoy the new trees and can rest for a while on the new benches. The Parish Council will be discussing the future of Jubilee Fields at our meeting on 3rd March. Should we plant more trees? Should we remove the kissing gates to aid access? Let us know via the Parish Clerk.
