THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL – COOPERS HILL ROAD (C67), NUTFIELD – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2019
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Coopers Hill Road (C67), Nutfield that extends from its junction with Kings Cross Lane (D385) to a point 20m north of the “Coopers Hill Railway Bridge” This Traffic Order is required to enable replacement of chevrons on the railway bridge and/or maintenance works on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10pm and 6am within 2 nights of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 21 September 2019. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times; vehicular traffic will be diverted via Nutfield High Street, Mid Street, Sandy Lane, Bower Hill Lane and Kings Cross Lane.
