Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D384 Mid Street, Nutfield.

This Traffic Order is required to enable

a) Network Rail to carry out tree cutting and/or utility maintenance works, and

b) Thames Water to replace covers in the carriageway and/or to carry out utility maintenance works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out within 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 May 2022.

For part

a) works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 3pm, on 27 May 2022, and for part

b) between the hours of 7pm and 11:30pm, on 08 June 2022.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of operatives on site.

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained to the point of closure via the vehicular diversion route: – Mid Street, Sandy Lane, Bower Hill Lane and Kings Cross Lane.
