Nutfield Parish Council wish to share this survey from Surrey County Council with you – please take the time to review and respond…

“Surrey County Council’s ‘Community Vision for Surrey in 2030’ contains the ambition that journeys across the county are easier, more predictable and safer.  Surrey Highways & Transport are seeking feedback on the future of the services they provide to achieve this and have asked us to distribute the following message to our members.

Surrey has some of the busiest transport infrastructure – like roads and trains – in the country. The council is responsible for 3,300 miles of roads, which are well used with rising volumes of traffic and a higher than average daily traffic flows.  While 62% of residents commute by car, Surrey is well served by a busy rail network, with main and branch lines connecting London to the south east and south west.

We are considering our next contract arrangements as several come to the end of their terms over the next few years.  Our new service provider will help to deliver the vision and we are seeking the views of our residents and stakeholders to help us decide the future of the services provided by Highways and Transport.  Your feedback will help us shape both the future direction of our services and how we will deliver them.

We are keen to receive people’s views either individually or on behalf of an organisation.

To fill out the survey go to Surrey Says. The closing date is 24 November 2019.”
