As of the 16th of March, the government announced a series of measures designed to reduce the spread of Covid 19.
They have recommended that those with the most serious health conditions go into self-isolation from social contact for around 12 weeks. This includes:-
- People who have serious chronic medical conditions including heart disease, live disease, diabetes, lung disease or chronic neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s, MND, MS or cerebral palsy.
- Those with reduced immunity to virus no matter their age, particularly those adults who would normally be advised to have the flu vaccine.
- Older Adults over 70 years of age (regardless of medical conditions)
- Pregnant women
Please take a look to how you can get involved in helping the Parish in conjunction with the Parish Council.
You can be assured that any contact details or information you send to us will be completely confidential and only be used in accordance with your wishes.
Please keep safe during this challenging time.
Nutfield Parish Council are concerned about our vulnerable residents in light of the current Coronavirus (COVID19) outbrea kand have considered a plan to coordinate both volunteers and those having to self-isolate. Many local groups are already offering their services to those having to self-isolate and we would ask all parishioners to check on your neighbours during the Coronavirus (COVID19) pandemic.
Should you wish to volunteer your services and be a road coordinator (and are not in a self-isolating group), OR require assistance (for example you need shopping or prescriptions) please ring 07722 465344 between 1.00 pm and 3.00 pm Monday to Friday where we will try and put you in touch with a local volunteer or add you the volunteer list.
A road coordinator is someone who coordinates your road (be it a WhatsApp group, email group, Facebook group or leaflet drop) and you are the point of contact to assist others in your road.
The Parish Council will collate a ‘road coordinator’ list that we will share on our website. Alternatively email assistantclerk@nutfieldpc.com and leave your name, address and requirements.
