Tandridge District Council wants to encourage anyone who has not yet done so to go online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote and register to vote in time for the district elections on 2 May.

To be able to vote your name must be included in the Register of Electors and the deadline to register to vote is Friday 12 April. It only takes a few minutes to register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

On Thursday 2 May voters in the Tandridge District will go to the polls to elect the local councillor to represent them on the council. People who are not registered will not be able to take part and have their say.

Louise Round, Returning Officer and Chief Executive, said: “Anyone not yet registered to vote should do so as soon as possible, so they can have their say on issues that affect their day to day lives. I’d urge people to spread the message among family and friends that it only takes a few minutes to complete the form and register to vote online.”
