Mole Valley District Council’s local, friendly, Technology Enabled Care (TEC) and Lifeline alarm service provider, Mole Valley Life (MVL), has agreed to enter a shared partnership with Tandridge District Council, in which MVL will supply all TEC and Lifeline alarms for Tandridge residents from 1 April 2021.
Mole Valley District Council has been monitoring for and responding to all alarm activations by Tandridge District Council Lifeline alarm users since 1986, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This makes the roll out of the service to now incorporate the installation and maintenance of Tandridge’s TEC and Lifeline alarms a comfortable, natural extension. MVL already provide TEC and Lifeline alarm services for over 3,000 customers in Mole Valley and neighbouring Reigate & Banstead. Alongside this, MVL also monitor for and respond to all alarm activations made by Crawley Borough Council and Horsham District Council’s Lifeline alarm users, equating to MVL monitoring a total of 15,000 Lifeline alarm connections.
Mole Valley District Council’s Cabinet Member for Community, Hazel Watson said, “Extending our exciting partnership with Tandridge District Council is a great boost for Mole Valley Life, which employs 45 people in the centre of Leatherhead. The experienced team there assist vulnerable people across the South East, who aren’t always elderly, they may be in danger, have fallen over in their own home, or just need the reassurance of someone else ‘listening’ as they open their front door.
“There are so many reasons people purchase TEC or a lifeline alarm, ranging from young people suffering with illness or disability, to those who are looking for more confidence and the ability to stay independent in their own home. MVL’s trusted team of advisors have many years of experience and are perfectly placed to offer person-centred, expert advice on TEC and Lifeline alarm solutions, enabling MVL to further assist the residents of Tandridge.”
