If you’re an employer looking to create job placements for young people, you might be eligible for funding through the Kickstart Scheme.
The Kickstart Scheme aims to create hundreds of thousands of high quality six month work placements for people aged 16 to 24, who are on Universal Credit and at risk of long term unemployment.
Funding under the scheme is available following a successful application process and applications from businesses must be for a minimum of 30 job placements.
To help smaller businesses, employers offering fewer than 30 placements will be asked to make a bid through an intermediary, who will then bid for 30 or more placements as a combined bid from several businesses.
Surrey Chambers of Commerce (SCC) is acting as an intermediary for this scheme. All eligible and interested businesses who wish to apply for the scheme, but don’t need 30 or more placements, should contact SCC at firstname.lastname@example.org. The government has also provided a link for businesses to find other intermediaries.
