We are likely to have rain which may fall as snow along the North Downs ridge for a time on Thursday afternoon and night (12 January 2017). However, day-time temperatures will remain above freezing so we can expect any snow on the ground to melt away on Friday.
As a result, the Snow Angels will not be deployed as snow is not expected to settle or stay for around for more than 24 hours. Surrey County Council are likely to grit priority roads throughout any period of snow in order to keep roads in operation.
