Under the government’s roadmap for easing lockdown restrictions across England, from 29 March:
- The rule of six will return, with outdoor gatherings of either six people or groups of larger than six from two households allowed. This includes in private gardens.
- Outdoor sports facilities, such as tennis and basketball courts, will be allowed to reopen and people can take part in formally organised outdoor sports.
- Weddings will be allowed to take place, with audiences of up to six people.
- The Stay at Home order will end, although many lockdown restrictions will remain.
You should still work from home if you can and minimise the number of journeys you take where possible, avoiding travelling through busiest routes at the busiest times. Travelling abroad will still not be allowed, except for a small number of reasons, including for work, education or medical reasons.
We know how important outdoor exercise has been for so many of us during the periods of lockdown. Ordnance Survey’s website gives advice on getting outside safely during Covid-19, including guides on outdoor family activities
