There has been much publicity in the press the use of E-Scooters. They are only permitted on private land with the owner’s permission. If you want to use an E-Scooter on the road it must have the same documents as a motor vehicle: – Registration, Lights, Indicators, and Insurance. If you are caught using an E-Scooter on the public road the penalty is seizure of the scooter, 6 penalty point on your driving licence and a fine of up to £600. Points on your licence will mean an increase in insurance premiums. You have been warned.
