We have received the following notice of an event:
PUBLIC NOTICE CYCLE RACING IN THE SOUTH NUTFIELD / REDHILL AERODROME AREA
SUNDAY 9th SEPTEMBER BETWEEN 9AM AND 3PM
We write to inform of the above event, which is a bicycle road race to be held under League of Veteran Racing Cyclists (LVRC) regulations and in accordance with the Road Traffic Act (Cycle Racing on Highways Regulations) 1960, as amended.
There will be three races in total, with each race having its own start and finish time and limited to a maximum of 40 riders per race. Suitable traffic signs will be in place and we have no reason to believe that there will be any inconvenience to local residents or road users. Surrey Police and the local horse riding schools and stables have been notified.
The affected roads are: Kings Cross Lane, Kings Mill Lane, Mason’s Bridge Road, Axes Lane, Green Lane, Prince of Wales Road and Cooper’s Hill Road.
