Thank you to everyone for your patience during the closure of the district’s community recycling centres (CRC). From Friday 3 July, the Chaldon Road CRC in Caterham will reopen and will accept black bagged rubbish and garden waste.
The Caterham CRC will be open every day from 8am to 4pm, except Thursday when the CRC is closed. Due to the size and location of Caterham’s CRC, long queues could form on surrounding roads.
Please store all other items you would normally take to a CRC at home until they can accept a wider range of materials, please don’t put them in your bins or have bonfires.
The Earlswood CRC in Redhill is open and it accepts more items than the Caterham site. The Warlingham CRC remains closed, but we expect it will reopen in early August
