Tandridge Districts Council work to provide affordable homes continues, with 29 new properties becoming family homes.

At the end of September, they took ownership of 9 three bedroom family homes and a two bedroom wheelchair accessible bungalow at The Greenway in Hurst Green. These will be occupied in the next couple of weeks.

In early October, they took ownership of Shallcross, a new sheltered housing scheme in Warlingham of 19 one bedroom flats.

Now construction work has finished at The Greenway and at Shallcross, work is starting at Uplands in Warlingham where two of the existing buildings here will be demolished to make way for 8 two and three bedroom homes and 13 one and two bedroom flats.

In Caterham, construction work will start at Bronzeoak House to build 12 two bedroom flats for families and 14 one bedroom flats for sheltered housing. These homes will provide affordable rented housing to applicants on our housing register who cannot afford to buy or rent on the open market.

To apply for council housing, you need to complete an online application form to join the housing register at www.tandridge.gov.uk/housing.

If you’re eligible and on the housing register, you can bid for a council property at www.tandridge-homechoice.org.uk.
