Welcome to our first ever Nutfield Parish Council (NPC) Newsletter produced as a consequence of current national pandemic restrictions which have put a stop to our physical Annual Parish meeting. We wanted to reach out to every household and say a very big, warm ’hello’ and update you all on a few matters of council business over the last year.

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to read this and not put it straight into your recycling bin! As a parish council we like to think we remain ’in touch’ with our parishioners needs, and we are aware that not everyone has the means or inclination for social media as a means to keep in touch with the latest news and views; hence a good old-fashioned paper mail drop it is, and one that is hopefully appreciated and deemed worthy of some of our budget spending (£100).

We have been meeting over Zoom once a month since April 2020 and following government protocol relating to local council practice during lockdown. Our online meetings have been productive and our Parish Clerk—Nicky Chiswick—has ensured proceedings remain legal and recorded our minutes with her unfailing patience and professionalism. The Chairman, Stephen Hall, keeps councillors on the ball and the agenda moving, but gives all councillors an opportunity to comment or raise matters.
